Trauma and loss are part of every human life. As church leaders, we have our own traumas, accompany parishioners through traumatic events, work with people in various stages of the trauma cycle, and lead organizations with their own stories of corporate trauma.
 
Unaddressed, these experiences can lead to an endless cycle of violently acting in against ourselves and acting out against others. When we address our personal and shared traumas and losses, we are better equipped to break the cycle, find healing for ourselves and strengthen our relationships.

The impact of trauma.
Acting in and acting out cycles.
Breaking free of the cycle.
Memorializing our losses.
Imagining a hopeful future.
